IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you get started, make sure to wear protective eye wear and be extremely careful in handling. You will be dealing with glass so it’s best to use a newspaper as your catch basin.

Start lighting up any room in your Batangas abode by following these easy steps:

Step 1: Carefully remove the tail part of the bulb

If you see the silver wire inside, pull it out with your pliers. You have the option to clean the inside but handle delicately; incandescent lightbulb glass is very thin.

Step 3: Create the stand

Get your wire and start wrapping around the base of the light bulb and slowly create your stand. When wrapping, don’t grip it too tightly. It might shatter in your hand. You can design it any way you want. Go wild! Be creative but make it sturdy.

  • Large Cardboard Sheet/ pizza box
  • A huge round plate (or any big round object for tracing purposes)
  • Frame hooks
  • Mirror with a plastic border
  • Pencil
  • Mini wooden ice cream sticks (approximately 500 pieces)
  • Glue gun & lots of glue sticks
  • Cutter
  • Spray paint that matches your desired wall
  • Masking tape

If you have your materials prepared, let’s get started!

  1. Using your pencil, trace the huge round object on the cardboard.
  2. Cut out the circle with a cutter and make sure to do it very carefully. You can use the round object as your guide when cutting through the sheet.

  4. Arrange the clusters on the edges of your cardboard sheet with your glue gun. Put an ample amount of glue to the sticks and sheet to make it secure. Glue the next layer in an alternate position to achieve a layered effect and insert individual spoons in areas where the cardboard is exposed.
  5. Cover your mirror with masking tape and leave out the plastic border. Spray paint the plastic border. Once it’s dry, place your mirror in the middle to know how many layers you still need to put.
  6. Continue adding as many layers as needed to encompass the mirror. Finally, glue to mirror to the cardboard. Ensure that everything is secure.
  7. Spray paint those ice cream sticks! Dry them off for a couple of hours.
  8. Remove the masking tape from the mirror and securely attach the hooks to the back of the cardboard. You can now hang it on your wall!

How to Make Your House in Laguna A Bit Brighter with DIY Tin Candleholder and Wall Décor

DIY-For-Laguna-House-Light-UP

Laguna is a lively province that is teeming with natural resources, man-made establishments and flourishing residential estates. The province may be home to an astounding number of revitalizing falls, scenic mountains, beautiful rivers and lakes but the place is also as urbanized as it can get. Recreational sites along with houses and lots for sale throng Laguna’s rustic streets.

Living in the province already has the outdoors going for you but let’s give your interiors a little tweak. This little accent could make such a big difference on your wall and it’s useful as well. Who knew tin cans can turn an ordinary wall into an elegant space?

Let’s kick off this DIY by preparing these materials:

  • Wooden hanger
  • Aluminum tin cans
  • Twine
  • Wooden clothespins
  • Decorative tapes
  • Awl or any sharp object that can pierce an aluminum tin can
  • Small candles

DIY Tin Candleholder and Wall Décor

  1. The first thing to do is to sanitize your cans and dry them off.
  2. Wrap your tin cans and wooden clothespins with the decorative tapes. Make sure that the tapes’ design matches the color scheme of your wall.
  3. Using your awl, or any sharp object, pierce a hole through the can. Be sure that the hole is big enough for the twine to slip into.
  4. Put the twine inside the hole and fasten it with a knot. Form a ribbon so it looks cute and neat. Do this to the rest of the cans.
  5. It’s time to take out your hanger! Equally section it into the number of your cans and tie the loose end of your twine (the end without the can) onto the hanger. Alternately position your cans. The first can’s twine should be short then the next can’s twine should be long then goes to short again and so on. Fasten the end on the hanger with the clothespins and hang it on your preferred wall. It should look like this:

You have the option to make it more secure by gluing it to the wall but make sure that you don’t light it for long periods at a time.
